Time for a Thought Check!

Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things. -Philippians 4:8

Father, You are True, Noble, Just, Pure, Lovely, Good, Excellent and Praiseworthy. Help me to see you in my life daily through nature and other people. Thanks be you oh Lord! Amen!

Father, all praise and glory and honor are yours.  Thank you for the light of the world, your Son.  Please help me to draw close to your light.  In your name I pray. Amen!

Trust-in, Rely-on, Wait-for, Believe-in, Rejoice-in, Relax-in HIS goodness

"Draw near to God, and he will draw near to you." James 4:8

Father, Draw me close... expand my trust... strengthen my belief... give me patience. Teach me to rely everyday on your promises so that I can rejoice in you and fully relax in your presence.  In your name I pray, Amen.

The Lord says what??

Father, help me to trust your word and to follow your instructions.  They are for my good today and for eternity, thanks be to YOU.  In the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Amen!

Sin=Death or Life=Jesus. We all will be forced to choose! Like it or not...

For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Father, thank you for the ultimate Christmas gift, Your son, Jesus.  Thank you for the grace that you give me daily. Thank you for the freedom to serve you. Help me to get out of your way and let YOUR Light shine through me to others in this dark world.  In your name Father, Son and Holy Spirit, I pray. Amen!

Thank you for THE Sign! THE Son!

The Lord himself will give you a sign: The virgin will be with child and will give birth to a son, and will call him Immanuel.                                         - Isaiah 7:14

Father, your sign, your Son is an amazing gift to me and the world.  Thank you for giving me the good news and help me to share it with others in my daily activities.  Amen!

God delivers as promised!

The Lord your God will raise up for you a prophet like [Moses] from among your own brothers. You must listen to him.                                                              - Deuteronomy 18:15

Father, thank you for giving us your Son, Jesus.  His example of Love, Joy, Peace, Patience, Kindness, Gentleness, Faithfulness, Goodness and Self Control gives me the map.  Help me to devote my attention - energy - focus. Amen!

Father, help me to dial in and desire to hear you.  You speak daily through your word, your nature, your children.  Open my ears to hear you better and better each day.  In your name I pray. Amen!

How do you use the gift of FREEDOM?

"Live as people who are free, not using your freedom as a cover-up for evil, but living as servants of God." 1 Peter 2:16

Father, thank you for the freedom that you have provided me at this very moment.  Help me to recognize you as the source of eternal freedom.  Teach me, Guide me and give me the courage to use this freedom to be your servant and to shine your Light so that evil cannot hide in the darkness.  In the name of You, the Father; You, the Son; You, the Holy Spirit. Amen!

What does the Lord Require?

He has shown you, O mortal, what is good. And what does the Lord require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God.                                  - Micah 6:8

Father, increase my desire to know you.  Everyday activities distract me because I think they are only my concerns.  Help me to realize that by including you in all of my activities, it will be right and good.  Lord in your Mercy, hear my prayer. Amen!
