Basic Instructions before Leaving Earth

Father, Thank you for the gift of music and your living instruction manual. Amen!

Commit! Trust! and He will ACT!

"Commit your way to the Lord; trust in him, and he will act. He will bring forth your righteousness as the light, and your justice as the noonday."Psalm 37:5-6

Father, I give it to you. Please hold me, protect me, grow me, mold me into your righteousness.  In your name, Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Amen! 

Your Provision is all I want!

"I have been young, and now am old, yet I have not seen the righteous forsaken or his children begging for bread. He is ever lending generously, and his children become a blessing." Psalm 37:25-26

Father, open my eyes to see all the daily provisions that you give me and to be grateful.  Your love is beyond belief, fill me so that I can share you with others. In the name of you, the Father. You, the Son and You the Holy Spirit. Amen!

Uphold Me, Please!

Father, uphold me today in you victorious right hand. Please forgive me, guide me, teach me and love me. In your name Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Amen!

But I, with shouts of grateful praise, will sacrifice to you. What I have vowed I will make good. I will say, ‘Salvation comes from the Lord.’”                                           - Jonah 2:9

Father, when I am in trouble and need YOU and a "Get out of Whale" Free Card I will promise to do anything.  Help me to make good on my vows to you knowing that Salvation only comes from you.  In the name of You, the father, You, the Son, and You, the Holy Spirit. Amen.

Be STRONG and COURAGEOUS!

Father, you are the power behind everything we do. Thank you! Fill me with strength and the courage I need to shine you in a dark world that desperately needs to know YOU. In the name to you the Father, you the Son, and you the Holy Spirit I pray. Amen!

Be Grateful!

Father, Help me to look around at this very moment and see everything that I am grateful for because of you! Thanks for your mercy, love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. Amen.

The only boast!

This is what the Lord says:

“Let not the wise boast of their wisdom or the strong boast of their strength or the rich boast of their riches, but let the one who boasts boast about this: that they have the understanding to know me,
that I am the Lord, who exercises kindness, justice and righteousness on earth, for in these I delight,” declares the Lord.

Father, it's your story and thank you for the loving invitation to join you.  Forgive us of our mere morality and pride.  Thanks be to you, Amen.

No need to move the mountains without LOVE!

If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing. -1 Corinthians 13:2

Father, thank you for your gift of LOVE that outlasts everything else! Fill me with your love and help me to share it with others. Thanks be to you, O Lord. Amen!

Time to lace up, your race is starting NOW!

Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us, fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith. For the joy set before him he endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. - Hebrews 12:1-2

Father, thank you for the many examples of Faith lived out in ordinary lives. Jesus, thank you for the perfect example for me to focus on. Holy Spirit, thank you for the daily coaching and support to help me persevere for the individual race that you have assigned. Amen!

Please keep shining your light in my Face!

14 “You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden. 15 Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. 16 In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.    -Matthew 5:14-16

Father, thank you for all the shining lights that you have placed in my life. Help me to shine your light to others as well. Amen.
