Father, U R Amazing and Strategic!

God's Word:

15 But in your hearts revere Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect, 16 keeping a clear conscience, so that those who speak maliciously against your good behavior in Christ may be ashamed of their slander. -1 Peter 3:15-16

my prayer:

Father, I thank U 4 this morning @ Wingmen when U orchestrated my four-part blessing.

First, my 76-year-old father joined me at Wingmen in Grapevine. Our lives have been separated by the brokenness of divorce, our selfish desires, and our pride. Thank you for UR Reconciliation, UR Mercy, UR Grace!

Second, the testimony of Jim, a hurting Dad that recently lost his son in a motorcycle accident and his role as husband to minister and walk beside his wife. It was especially amazing that U had us (a Father and Son) sitting at his table discussing life before and after his time of sharing. UR POWER in a room full of men laying hands on him and praying for him and his wife, the family, and the organ recipients that were blessed was truly a gift.

Third, our speaker, Jason Romano and the impact of his message and challenge to us as UR followers to be prepared to witness our hope in U wherever we are planted (1 Peter 3:15-16). Father, thank U for his brother's willingness to live UR instruction and witness U to Jason. May U bless them and their families beyond belief. Finally, at the end of the morning, reconnecting after 10 years with a long-lost church and softball friend, Dan. U know the joys and struggles we have had in the past. It was his second time to attend Wingmen in Grapevine (http://wingmen.org/). Thank U for reuniting us in that setting and blessing us as we start the healing and the growing-forward process of becoming brothers in Christ again.

The Parable of the Sower

4 Again Jesus began to teach by the lake. The crowd that gathered around him was so large that he got into a boat and sat in it out on the lake, while all the people were along the shore at the water’s edge. 2 He taught them many things by parables, and in his teaching said: 3 “Listen! A farmer went out to sow his seed. 4 As he was scattering the seed, some fell along the path, and the birds came and ate it up. 5 Some fell on rocky places, where it did not have much soil. It sprang up quickly because the soil was shallow. 6 But when the sun came up, the plants were scorched, and they withered because they had no root. 7 Other seed fell among thorns, which grew up and choked the plants so that they did not bear grain. 8 Still, other seed fell on good soil. It came up, grew and produced a crop, some multiplying thirty, some sixty, some a hundred times.”  - Mark 4:1-8

Father, prepare me to be good soil so that I can produce UR fruit! Guide me in casting the seeds of UR GOOD NEWS in all areas of my life. Thanks B 2 U of Christ! So-B-It! Amen!

my prayer:

Father, How can I, something so small be so large in UR eyes? Thank U for providing me water and food! Thank U for the world in which U planted me! Thank U for the birds that come to nest around me!  Like a plant reaching towards the Sun, I reach towards U, the SON. May UR face shine brightly on me today so that I can grow even larger 4 U!

Father, UR instruction and father-in-law advice from Jethro have been around for centuries. Give us today wisdom, lift up the people that will represent you as instructed. Forgive us for being a stiff-necked people and allow us to adopt UR guidance in all that we do today!  So-B-It! Amen!

Father, Where are you? In this moment I am confused and lost and struggling with HOPE! Help me to remember U and all that U have done for me! U R my Creator! U R my Protector! U R my Redeemer!  Thanks B 2 U oh Christ! So-B-It! Amen!
